Row, Row, Row Your Boat – and Raise Money for CMN
CHRISTUS St. Patrick Foundation held our 2017 Dragon Boat Race on April 22nd – our fifth annual – and raised over $135,000 for our Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) program!
In June we held a Thank You Luncheon for all the sponsors, vendors and volunteers and we were once again reminded of how generous this community is. There are a lot of moving parts to this event, and we honored over 180 people during the Luncheon who helped to make all of those parts move smoothly. Some of these people raised money, some of them helped us develop and implement a great safety plan, some of them walked the seawall (over and over again) getting the set-up just right, some of them volunteered at ALL the practices, some of them volunteered on the BIG day. Some of them even rowed! Whatever role they played, they make a difference for us and we are grateful for their participation!
This event is evidence that our community spirit is alive and well!
Of course, the money is not sitting still! These funds are used to provide pediatric surgical and treatment equipment at CHRISTUS St. Patrick Hospital as well as to support several health and wellness programs in our schools.
We appreciate the generous support given for this and other CMN events. Together we are taking care of the children of Southwest Louisiana!
